Information sessions for Academic Employees having received notice of layoff

Representatives from Service Canada will be holding virtual information sessions for those who are being affected by layoff at the college. These sessions, hosted by Conestoga, are jointly conducted by representatives of Service Canada and Employment Ontario.

Topics covered during these 1.5 hour virtual sessions include:

• The latest changes to the Employment Insurance program (EI) and how to apply for benefits

• Canada Pension Plan / Old Age Security for workers who may be near retirement

• Employment Ontario supports and programs, and how to access

There are three opportunities to attend one of these optional information sessions (each session will have the same content):

• Wednesday, February 4th | 10:00–11:30 AM.       Register for this date

• Friday, February 13th | 1:00–2:30 PM.                  Register for this date

• Thursday, February 19th | 1:00–2:30 PM.              Register for this date
